A few U12 kids at the 2017 Nancy Greene Festival Awards
The 2017 Hub International Nancy Greene Festival was held at Sun Peaks Resort on Friday and Saturday March 24-25, 2017, with several of the kids (and parents and coaches) arriving at the resort in time for Wednesday and Thursday training prior to the weekend races.
There was no shortage of snow with upwards of two and a half metres as a base and a few more centimetres added on top of that by the weather gods over the four days. And the weather kept improving too, with clouds blanketing the peaks down to white-out conditions on top on the first day to beautiful sunshine on the last day and everything in between on Thursday and Friday.
The event was great fun with ski clubs participating from all over BC as well as Alberta, making it an interprovincial affair.
