About fifty children from the Cypress Ski Club, ranging from the U8 to U16 groups, were on the slopes of Sun Peaks from December 6 to December 11. This camp was the second of the winter season and the first for some athletes. As every year, this camp was a real pleasure, with fresh snow and impeccably groomed slopes.

Fall camps allow all participants to kick off the winter ski season on solid footing. The U14 and U16 groups took advantage of Sun Peaks Race Centre (to find it look for OSV near the Elevation Chair). They had three days of GS training and one day of slalom.

Meanwhile, the younger U8 to U12 teams enjoyed free skiing on largely open terrain, exploring all the slopes and practicing drills with their coaches.

This was also the first training session for the new assistant coaches, Robin Giroud Lemaitre (U14 assistant coach) and Mikael Decroux (U12 assistant coach), who recently joined the coaching team.

At the December camp families are responsible for providing athlete transportation and accommodation. This is a fun opportunity for an early season family ski trip, and for some athletes a chance to be hosted by another family.

Fall Ski Camp registration opens in October, so stay tuned for next season!
