It is widely known that well tuned skis are crucial to a racer’s performance. And this not only applies to the older racers, that is U14 and older. To learn how to ski on well tuned skis helps sharpen the future racer’s technical skills. A well tuned ski can carve a marvellous smooth turn, making the ski perform at its best. That way, a young racer will grow accustomed to skiing well from the beginning, and will understand how it feels to hold an edge smoothly throughout the whole turn. This allows the racer to trust the ski, the platform it creates, opening the whole range of angulations needed to make turns of different radius and on different terrain and snow conditions.

So I encourage parents from children of all ages to attend this clinic. Chris Hillier, SIDECUT owner will deliver a top notch array of tips on how to tune a ski, demonstrating the use and sequence of the different tools involved in the process. You can also buy tools at a special discounted price.
