January 16 – 19, 2025
The conditions this season have been quite challenging, with little snow in Cypress and few training days. Maintaining consistency in training is very important, and poor conditions make it even more difficult.
“The trip to Apex went very well. It was crucial for building bonds and trust with the athletes,” said U16 Coach Edison Gonzalez.
Despite everything, we saw significant improvement in our athletes during race days. Even when competing against U19 athletes or second-year U16 athletes, we proved to be up to the challenge. Thanks to video feedback after each race, we managed to improve technically and reduce times, getting closer to the top positions each day.
While it is a long process, the next step is to help our athletes build more confidence in themselves and demonstrate it in decision-making, line selection, and developing a winning mindset.
Notable finishes included:
- 20th Mens Slalom, January 19 – Aaron Na
- 23rd Womens GS, January 19 – Inaya Salari
