The Cypress Ski Club recently wrapped up its Annual General Meeting (AGM), bringing together our community to reflect on athlete achievements, program milestones, and our shared passion for skiing. From key updates across our U8 through FIS programs to exciting upcoming community events, the season ahead is shaping up to be one of our best yet.
A Big Thank You to Perveen Biln
First, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Perveen Biln, who is retiring from her role as Vice President. Perveen’s dedication, leadership, and tireless support for our athletes, families, and coaches have left a lasting impact on our club community. Thank you, Perveen, for your 13 years of exceptional service!
Welcoming Jaret Lang to the Board
We are also excited to announce Jaret Lang as our new Director of Sponsorship!
Jaret joined the CSC community in 2023 and has a son competing in his first year of U14. Raised in Vernon, Jaret has been on skis since age 5 and raced for Silver Star Mountain. His ties to Cypress run deep—he even worked in Cypress Rentals back in 1994! Outside of ski racing, Jaret leads real estate development for a public university and is a Level 2 Race Official. We are thrilled to welcome Jaret’s expertise as he leads our sponsorship initiatives.
