What a way to wrap up an incredible season.

More than 230 Cypress Ski Club members, families, coaches, and volunteers gathered on Saturday, May 30, for Club Day 2026: our annual Family Year-End BBQ & Awards Celebration. Under beautiful blue skies and warm sunshine at Cypress Provincial Park, the CSC community came together to celebrate a season filled with growth, achievement, friendships, and unforgettable memories on the mountain.

The picnic area was lively from the moment families arrived. Athletes took part in games and activity stations throughout the park, while parents, coaches, and volunteers relaxed, reconnected, and enjoyed each other’s company in a casual setting away from the race courses and training lanes.

A huge thank you goes to the many volunteers whose hard work behind the scenes made the day such a success. From planning and setup to food service, activities, and cleanup, Club Day is truly a community effort, and we are grateful for everyone who contributed their time and energy.

Celebrating Our Athletes

One of the highlights of the afternoon was our annual Awards Ceremony, where we recognized athletes who demonstrated exceptional performance, improvement, sportsmanship, and dedication throughout the season.

Volunteers of the Season Award Winners

Behind every successful season are volunteers who quietly step forward, lend a hand, and help make it all happen. This year, Cypress Ski Club was proud to recognize Eric Roberts and Jaret Lang as our Volunteers of the Season.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients. Your commitment, perseverance, attitude, and passion for skiing exemplify the values that make Cypress Ski Club such a special community.

A Special Tribute to Our U16 Graduates

This year’s Club Day also gave us an opportunity to recognize our graduating U16 athletes. These athletes have spent years developing their skills, building friendships, and contributing to the culture of our club. As they move on to new adventures, they leave behind a legacy of leadership, resilience, and dedication that will continue to inspire younger athletes for years to come. We invite everyone to read our special tribute celebrating this remarkable group of graduates: Big Cheers for Our U16 Graduates.

Thank You for Supporting the CSC 50/50 Raffle

Another exciting moment of the afternoon was the draw for the CSC 50/50 Raffle. Congratulations to Joan Park, who took home half of the prize pool as this year’s lucky winner! We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and supported the fundraiser. The remaining proceeds will go directly back into Cypress Ski Club programming, helping us continue to provide outstanding opportunities and experiences for our athletes. Your support makes a meaningful difference for our club and our kids.

Community at the Heart of Everything

While the awards, games, and raffle were all highlights of the day, what truly stood out was the sense of community. Club Day is a reminder that Cypress Ski Club is about much more than racing. It is about families supporting one another, athletes building lifelong friendships, volunteers giving generously of their time, and a shared passion for the mountains that brings us all together. Thank you to every family, coach, athlete, volunteer, and supporter who helped make the 2025–26 season such a memorable one. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the mountain next season as we continue our mission of Inspiring Skiers for Life.
