The U14-U16 group from the Cypress Ski Club attended a training camp from November 15 to 24, 2024, in Northern Canada, at Mount Sima, Yukon. A group of 11 young athletes participated in the camp, including ten U14s and one U16. This was the second time the club traveled to Mount Sima for a preseason camp.

Mount Sima is a small ski resort located 20 minutes from Whitehorse. With average temperatures around -17°C, this demanding camp offers exceptional snow and conditions for early-season training.

The athletes skied for seven days, including three days of free skiing followed by four days of gate training. Unfortunately, the extreme cold on Wednesday, with temperatures reaching -35°C at the top of the mountain, forced us to take a day off.

This camp is an incredible experience for young athletes ready to face harsh winter conditions. Despite the frigid weather, the warm hospitality always stands out.

Once again, this camp was a great success.
