Volunteers are essential to the success of the club. They support our athletes, coaches, and fuel our on and off-hill community. Recently, volunteers at the Cypress Ski Club came together for a comprehensive equipment overhaul.

Over two days, 10 to 15 parents worked across two locations. At Eagle Shack, the small but essential ski shack near the bottom of Eagle Chair, volunteers sorted and counted ski gates, ensuring everything was in order for the season ahead. They also took on an unexpected repair challenge. Using a jack, they lifted the shack to fix its crooked stance, which had been causing issues with the door. Thanks to their work, the shack is now straight, and the door finally closes properly.

On another side of the hill, the team tackled a sea can loaded with B nets—specialized netting that is used around our race courses to increase the safety of ski racers. With a dedicated effort, volunteers unrolled and organized these safety nets, making sure they’re ready for the U14 GS and Slalom that will be held March 1-2, 2025, at Cypress Mountain

We extend a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who joined us to make this year’s equipment overhaul and repair effort possible. Your dedication has set us up for a successful season ahead!
