INSPIRING SKIERS FOR LIFE
SUNPEAKS NGSL FESTIVAL!
The 15th Annual Hub International Nancy Greene Festival is
the biggest Nancy Greene Ski League (NGSL) festival in
Canada. With over 500 kids participating, Sun Peaks Resort
hosts 2,000 people who come to enjoy all the fun events the
festival has to offer.
A speed trap, dual GS, jump contest, skier X style kombi
course, moguls, and other fun events for kids make this one
of the best weekends of the year. Nancy Greene herself is
there to deliver awards.

Sunday April 9th, 2017!
All kids and parents are invited to don a ski-able costume and
race. This is a simple, short, and fun race on Lower Bowen with a
pared down crew of volunteers. Children will be in the care of their
coaches so you will be free to race and volunteer. Race volunteers
will be given a complimentary lift
pass for the day if they don’t have

U12 Head Coach –
Hayden Sidey-Phillips
Hayden has been the Head Coach of
the U12 program for 2 seasons. Prior
to that he has coached every level
from U10 to U16 and has been
coaching for almost 7 years. He
started racing at Cypress when he was
7 in the Nancy Green program and
stayed with the club until U16. He
then moved to Whistler to complete 2
years of FIS. Back when he was racing,
he was consistently one of the top ten
athletes in the Province. He raced
alongside national team members like
Broderick Thompson, and Ford
Swette, as well as professional
freestyle skier Stan Rey. Outside of ski
racing, he enjoys downhill mountain
biking, hiking and camping. He also
worked several seasons at Skiis and
Biikes as a bootfitter. He is currently
attending Langara College in the
Kinesiology program during the
summer and fall semesters. Coaching
skiing is a passion of his and during
the ski season, when he is not
coaching, you can find him at Whistler
shredding with his friends. Hayden is a
great role model for our kids, has a
special ability to connect with his
racers, is fun to be around and
delivers sound technical coaching.
